ADJUNCT SERVICES:

Nutrition:
Nutritional management is an extremely important part of your pet’s treatment, without which clinical symptoms can be exacerbated and progress hampered. We offer a comprehensive nutritional service to help ensure balanced nutrition so a healthy body condition can be achieved. The nutrition team can be reached at nutrition@smartvetwales.co.uk.

Behaviour Support at the SMART Clinic:

At the SMART Clinic, we’re proud to offer a compassionate and tailored approach to behavioural care. Our team of experienced Vets and Animal Care Assistants are trained in working with dogs (and cats) who may find clinic visits overwhelming or display behaviour associated with fear, anxiety, or stress.

We collaborate closely with owners and referring veterinary practices to create safe, manageable, and effective treatment plans that respect each animal’s unique needs. Every member of our staff receives ongoing training in safe handling, recognising behavioural cues, and using gentle restraint techniques – all designed to minimise stress and promote trust.

As a Dog Friendly Clinic -accredited practice, we’re committed to making every visit as positive and comfortable as possible, starting from the very first appointment. We also offer helpful resources and guidance for owners, including training support to make home physiotherapy and prescribed exercises easier and more effective.

If you’d like to learn more about how we can support your pet with behavioural care, please get in touch at mail@smartvetwales.co.uk. We’re here to help both you and your pet feel confident and supported every step of the way.
