Staff Details:  | Lowri Davies BVSc MRCVS Cert Vet Acup CCRP Lowri Davies graduated from Bristol Veterinary School in 1992. Her interest in sports medicine and rehabilitation developed while working in specialist equine practice. In 2001 she gained her international veterinary acupuncture certificate. In 2004 Lowri undertook some further training in the United States and gained her Certificate in Canine Rehabilitation in 2005. She opened the first SMART Clinic (Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation Therapy) in 2004. When not at work, or lecturing in the U.K. and abroad, Lowri enjoys travelling - preferably somewhere she can climb a mountain, ski down a mountain or ride across several mountains! Lowri is a member of the International Association for the Study of Pain, The Royal Society of Medicine and the British Veterinary Orthopaedic Association. She is also president of the British Veterinary Rehabilitation and Sports Medicine Association. | 
| Tamsin OBrien BVSc MRCVS Tamsin joined the SMART Clinic in March 2011. After qualifying from Bristol Veterinary School in 2002, Tamsin spent a brief period in mixed practice before deciding to focus her skills on cats and dogs. She has managed to combine a love of travelling with her veterinary career and has worked in Australia, New Zealand and India. Acupuncture has always been one of her major interests and over the years she has been continually impressed with the way it improves the quality of life and assists with pain management. Sport has always played a strong part in Tamsin's life and her main passions are surfing and yoga. Her experience with human sports nutrition, massage therapies and training regimes are invaluable in designing rehabilitation programmes for SMART Clinic patients. | 
| Hannah Price - Chartered Veterinary Physiotherapist Hannah joined the clinic in June 2008. She obtained her MSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy from the Royal Veterinary College in 2008, and prior to this her BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Keele University in 2003. Hannah is a Cat A member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (ACPAT) and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). Hannah owns three horses and competes in British Eventing when she has the time! She also has two German Short haired Pointers and three cats. |  | Sian Ferris - RVN Sian qualified from the University of Bristol in 2006 with 2:1 degree in Veterinary Nursing and Practice Administration. Since qualifying she has been keen to promote the role of the Veterinary Nurse in practice and has set up numerous clubs and clinics dedicated to nursing advice on key topics such as dental health, obesity etc. Nutrition is of a particular interest to Sian and she is keen to highlight the benefits of specified diets/dietary management to owners, especially where pet obesity is a concern. Sian currently shares her home with two furry friends, Trinity- a playful, slightly hyperactive collie cross and Hugo- a beautiful but evil ginger Tom, they definitely keep Sian on her toes! | 
| Sian Edwards BA (Hons) PGCE - Animal Technician Sian joined the team in November 2010. She first met Lowri when heown dog required treatment shortly after the first SMART clinic was opened in 2004. Sian is an experienced dog trainer, having competed in obedience for several years and run her own dog training classes in Cardiff for the last 10 years. Sian has a particular interest in puppy training and development. She owns two dogs and currently competes in agility with Rocket. In what spare time she has she is a volunteer with a local dog rescue where she provides behavioural support to their many fosterers. Sian has also completed the Hills Veterinary Nutritional Advisor programme. Sian primarily works as a veterinary assistant in Swansea but is available to provide training in both branches. | 
| Sam Middle Animal Technician Sam joined the team in April 2009. She met Lowri after a number of her clients horses received treatment for sports injuries, rehabilitation and performance improvement. Sam has a particular interest in Dressage as a professional rider and trainer. She was trained by John Lassetter in Goodwood where she was a working pupil for three years and during this time represented Great Britain internationally. Sam has since spent much of her time specialising in young horses and horses with behavioural issues. Sam works as a receptionist in the Cardiff clinic, as well as doing some equine rehabilitation work under Lowris direction. | 
| Rebecca Crawshaw BA (Hons) Practice Administrator Rebecca graduated from the University of Wales Institute, Cardiff in 2010 gaining a 2:1 in Tourism Management. She has been with the clinic since September 2010 and deals with all the administration tasks. Rebecca looks after customer accounts, sends and receives insurance claims and also deals with any other day-to-day tasks which crop up in the general running of the business. In her spare time she enjoys Zumba, cooking and gardening. Rebecca has recently extended her family with 2 cats, one 8 week old female kitten named Jessica and her mother, Jemima. |
