Lowri Davies
The centre is run by Lowri Davies BVSc, MRCVS Certificate Vet Acupuncture, Certificate Canine Rehabilitation. Lowri qualified from Bristol Veterinary School in 1992. Subsequently she has worked in Canine and Equine practice throughout the UK.
In 2002 she successfully gained her International Certificate in veterinary acupuncture and is presently President of the British Veterinary Acupuncture Association.
In 2004 Lowri successfully completed the certification programme in Canine Rehabilitation at Tennessee University, currently the only programme of its kind in the world.
Lowri lectures internationally on rehabilitation and pain management.
She is president of the Association of British veterinary acupuncturists and has a particular interest in exercise physiology
Hannah Price
Hannah is a Chartered Veterinary Physiotherapist who joined the clinic in June 2008. She obtained her MSc in Veterinary Physiotherapy from the Royal Veterinary College in 2008, and prior to this her BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy from Keele University in 2003.
Hannah is a Cat A member of the Association of Chartered Physiotherapists in Animal Therapy (ACPAT) and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP). Hannah owns three horses and competes in British Eventing when she has the time! She also has a German Short haired Pointer who has briefly tried his hand at agility, and two cats.
Aimee Harris
Aimee has worked at the clinic since May 2005. Previous employment has included working part time at a boarding kennel and cattery, and also at a local riding school. She met Lowri when she treated her horse Mr Dobbs, who she enjoys hacking and the occasional local Le Trec competition. She also has four cats which she has rescued and range from 2-9 years old and drive her nuts!
Claire Jenkins
Claire is a Registered Qualified Veterinary Nurse with a special interest in rehabilitation. Claire began her junior nursing in the Midlands in 1992 & has a varied career since then: Claire experiences range from specialist spinal nursing in London, Rescuing bears in China & Nursing Management in Sydney, Australia before returning to the U.K. in 2007.
Claire has a 17 year old Jack Russell cross 'Jessica' rescued as a 6 month old pup from the veterinary practice whilst training as a junior nurse & a 4 year old deaf cat 'Snotty' rescued as an poorly unwanted kitten with cat flu in Australia that came home with her, but apparently he does miss the sun & can usually be found basking in the rays at any opportunity…
Sam Middle
Sam joined the team in April 2009. She met Lowri after a number of her clients’ horses received treatment for sports injuries, rehabilitation and performance improvement. Sam has a particular interest in Dressage as a professional rider and trainer. She was trained by John Lassetter in Goodwood where she was a working pupil for three years and during this time represented Great Britain internationally. Sam has since spent much of her time specialising in young horses and horses with behavioural issues. Sam works as a receptionist in the Cardiff clinic, as well as doing some equine rehabilitation work under Lowri’s direction.
