Recent Courses we have attended
British Medical Acupuncture Society- Electroacupuncture Course, 23rd November 2011 Tamsin attended this day course in London. It was a useful refresher in the neurophysiology and applications of electroacupuncture. It was also a good opportunity to practice on fellow veterinary surgeons. Tamsin found it worthwhile to experience the same feelings that many of our patients have during electroacupuncture. It is always inspiring to share ideas with fellow vets who are as enthused as we are about acupuncture.
British Veterinary Orthopaedic Association Autumn Meeting, 18th-20th November 2011 Lowri attended this weekend meeting in Bristol, where she acted as a delegate for the association. Various lectures were received at the meeting including discussions on complications of fracture repair and decision making in cruciate repair treatments.
Cardiff Bupa Hospital- Myofascial Release Course June 2011 Lowri attended this day course in Cardiff. The course explored the role of myofascial release techniques in the treatment of musculoskeletal pain. Lowri found the course very informative and practical, having the opportunity to perform some myofascial release work on fellow attendees. This proves to be a valuable treatment technique to consider in many of our patients.
