Pain not only affects how our animals move, it also has an impact on their general health and well being. Therefore, it is often not possible to 'cure' pain by giving one or more pain killers on a daily basis.

Here at the SMART Clinic, we try to tackle pain holistically. This does not mean that we do not believe in pain medication, on the contrary we often prescribe a range of different medications that tackle pain from different angles. We combine such treatment however with techniques such as acupuncture, massage therapy, heat therapy and Trans Spinal Electrostimulation which work synergistically to improve the patient’s well being.
